DWTS Stars Defend Rivals After Fight

It was a ballroom blitz during the Dancing With the Stars finale on Nov. 25!

After TMZ.com alleged the runner-up, football star Warren Sapp threw first-place dancer Derek Hough -- who took the trophy with Brooke Burke -- against a wall, their co-stars have come forward to defend them.

The video site claimed that Warren got mad at Derek for showing up late to rehearse the group dance, then complaining that he was having trouble following the routine, although Derek later said that it was more of a war of words than a real fight.

Comedian Jeffrey Ross told OK!, “I happened to be at that rehearsal. They got into a little thing, but it’s about the intensity of the moment.”

Another DWTS dancer, Mark Ballas, agreed. “When you’re working together, sometimes people get heated.

"Sometimes you just talk to each other out of frustration. But both of them are cool now.”
