While Park City, Utah, was flooded with celebs last week for the Sundance Film Festival, one of Hollywood's most beautiful women, Eva Mendes, was in the Beehive State for another reason. The 33-year-old has been in Utah for a few weeks getting clean.
According to a report on TMZ, the We Own the Night star is currently battling a substance abuse problem as a guest at the Cirque Lodge in Utah — the same facility where Lindsay Lohan attempted to get clean last fall.
A statement released by her rep says: “Eva has been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take some much-needed time off to proactively attend to some personal issues that, while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support. Out of respect for Eva’s privacy, we do not wish to discuss further details.”
And though addiction is no laughing matter, in the past Eva has joked about being hooked — on Red Bull. "I found myself maniacally drinking it," she says. "I was up to seven a day."
