Here’s the real reason Olympic gold medalist Nadia Comaneci got kicked off the second round of The Celebrity Apprentice. It’s not because she had nothing to contribute. “The only task I was given to do was to pick the music, the same music the guys picked, which was a winner,” she laughs. Nadia’s got to get her moves down to audition for her next dream reality show, Dancing With the Stars!

“I wanna do that. I like to perform,” she tells me. “At the semi-finals, I met Carrie Ann Inaba. She said that she watched me when I competed in the Olympics in Montreal, and then she made a big pause and said, ‘You have to be on the show!’”

We’ll have to wait until March when DWTS returns to see if Nadia got her wish. For now, Nadia's focusing her energies on a project close to her heart back in her native country of Romania. “I’m building a children’s hospital called the Nadia Comaneci Children’s Clinic for children who are orphans or whose families can not afford to treat them if they get sick,” she says.

Nadia, who’s married to fellow Olympic gold medalist Bart Conner, has also got her hands busy with 19-month-old son Dylan Paul. “We take in the gym. He can hold himself on the bar for a few seconds. We put him in a handstand and he loves it,” she says. But there’s no pressure on for Dylan to follow his famous parents onto the professional gymnastics floor. “He may end up being a great piano player,” she laughs.

As for her early ousting, Nadia said the Empresario's second loss may have been avoided, if they had just tapped into their celeb status like the boys did. “They wouldn’t have used my voice because I have a Romanian accent, but I could have done some tricks with the dog,” exclaims the gymnast.
