HEPATITIS SCARE HITS HOLLYWOOD

Hollywood's brightest stars are squirming since health officials rang the alarm Tuesday, saying a Wolfgang Puck employee may have exposed guests at 14 events to acute Hepatitis A.Only attendees who ate raw food at 's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue Feb. 14 party have been urged to get vaccinated against the disease. TMZ.com spoke to Dr. David Dassey, the Deputy Chief of Acute Communicable Disease Control for County Health, who says the infected employee catered 14 parties, but 10 of them are outside the 14-day limit of getting a shot. He refused to name three other events where the food may have sickened guests. Sunday's Academy Awards was Hollywood's biggest night of the year.According to the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention, Hepatitis A is a liver disease with symptoms that include jaundice, fatigue, abdominal pain and loss of appetite. Luckily, a person who has been infected once can never get it again. Hepatitis A is not a chronic illness.
