Britney Spears‘ new Candie’s campaign ads are here! Iconix Brand Group and Kohl’s Department Stores have unveiled the “Britney Spears Through the Lens” Spring 2010 advertising campaign for the Candie’s brand. Brit was shot by world-renowned photographers for the campaign, and the pictures capture each photographer’s style.
“This is the most exciting shoot we have ever produced for Candie’s,” says Dari Marder, chief marketing officer of Iconix. “We have three master photographers (Annie Leibovitz, Mark Seliger and Terry Richardson) shooting the biggest pop star in the world, each in their own iconic style.”
The campaign consists of a series of photos of Brit as seen through the lens of each accomplished photographer.
Annie Leibovitz’s photograph features Brit against an industrial backdrop; Terry Richardson photographed the pop princess on a plain white set with colorful props; and Mark Seliger created elaborate sets for his shoot, according to Britney’s official Web site.
Seliger’s first set was a French burlesque-inspired, pink dressing room and the second featured a custom-designed, pink Harley Davidson motorcycle against a blue sky and green grass background.
“The new Candie’s spring advertising campaign is innovative and authentic and provides a unique brand expression in the marketplace. We are confident this will resonate with our junior shoppers who trust Candie’s to provide style and value,” says Julie Gardner, Kohl’s executive vice president and chief marketing officer.
