Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy arrive thirty minutes early to show off their relationship during the Gen Art Film Festival premiere of Finding Bliss held Tuesday at NYC’s Visual Arts Theater.

Sweet yet eager to appear as if she doesn't want attention, Jennifer hangs back while her man basks in the spotlight for the romantic comedy about the adult film industry in which he bares the full monty.

What was the most difficult part of filming the nude scene?

“It’s called a pickle shot,” the actor, 38, tells me. “It’s when a guy does a nude scene in Hollywood. The hardest thing is making sure the pickle is the right pickle. You want it to be more of a classic kosher dill and not a sweet gherkin.”

While he pleads the fifth when asked about watching porn with the now-super-svelte star, neither party will cop to when exactly their relationship began. Interesting, because she announced her broken engagement to Ross McCall in January 2009, and he starred on twenty episodes of the Ghost Whisperer beginning in 2008. Could Jamie be the Angelina of the equation seen before when Brad Pitt announced his divorce to Jennifer Aniston after Brangelina worked together on Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2004? (Albeit on a much smaller level – engagements aren’t forever, after all.) Perhaps it’s simply a case of a rebound gone right.

Admitting they have a “mutual admiration society” based on their work in horror films, Jamie says “it just started recently.” He gets nervous. He won’t admit how they got together.

“I don’t know if I can answer,” he says before he pulls Jennifer aside to consult her on what he should say. “Things happen.”

What does he love most about the brunette beauty?

“She’s amazingly talented and really funny. People don’t realize that. She’s the most generous person I‘ve ever met, the most thoughtful.”

When asked about their most romantic date, Jamie turns the floor over to Jennifer, summoning her to take over press duties. From the way her eyes light up, we can tell she’s thrilled. She’s so friendly and winning. I remember watching her on Kids Incorporated. ;)

“We had dinner on the beach,” the Ghost Whisperer actress, 30, says. “There were lanterns leading out to a private table in the middle of the beach. He set it up. And, I told him this story how I was in Monte Carlo, and this guy chopped the top of a champagne bottle off with a sword, and he went and learned how to do it. It was very cute.”

Swoon! Why is he perfect for her?

“We make each other laugh, and we’re like best friends. We just have the best time. We’re super-happy. We both like to do pretty much everything the same. We’re very compatible.”

Any differences?

“He’s a realist, and I’m a dreamer,” Jen says. “That sort of balances it out.”

But the real question … has she found bliss?

“I have,” she tells me. “I’m very happy. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been.”

Hm, how long have they been together?

“Not that long. I don’t know an exact time. I haven’t really been paying attention.”

The cutesy couple circles the venue, and JLH gives a wave with her French-manicured hand before she heads inside to watch her boyfriend bare all onscreen.

Fifteen minutes after the film is scheduled to begin, Leelee Sobieski arrives with mom Elizabeth in tow. The 25-year-old actress must feel very comfortable with her because that’s exactly who she brings to the premiere of the movie in which she plays an award-winning film grad who turns to the porn industry.

How has making this film changed her thoughts on porn?

“Well, it’s changed my thoughts a lot,” Leelee tells me. “I watched a decent amount for the film. I think anime porn is really interesting because I think the cinematography on anime is really phenomenal, actually. It’s so creative, and makes you think more of morikami.  It’s really beautiful.”

Finding Bliss hits theaters later this year.
