Jennifer Hudson is slowly but surely returning to the spotlight, months after a family tragedy affected her life forever, when her mother, brother and nephew were slain in October. The star sang the national anthem at this year’s Super Bowl and appeared put together and glamorous at the Grammy Awards, where she won the top honor for Best R&B album.
With so many things lining up for the singer, including a tour this spring, she says she keeps it all together very simply.
"Praying every morning and thanking God for every single blessing keeps me grounded and motivated to be the very best that I can be in everything that I do," she says in the April issue of Jet magazine, on stands March 16.
The Dreamgirls star will co-headline a tour with smooth soul singer Robin Thicke, starting March 31 in Albany, N.Y.
