Johnny Depp Ready to Say 'I Do?'

Wedding bells will be ringing for Johnny Depp and his longtime love Vanessa Paradis--that is, just as soon as she decides on a rock!

"Johnny got Vanessa a drop-dead gorgeous engagement band but she returned it to the jeweler," a source tells OK!. "She wants her ring to be absolutely perfect."

The Sweeney Todd star, 45, has talked openly of his aversion to marriage while Vanessa, 35, and mother to their two children, Jack, 6, and Lily Rose, 9, says, "He's got me and he knows he's got me." But the couple is changing their tune.

A decade after meeting while he was filming The Ninth Gate in 1998, Johnny and Vanessa are close to finally making it official.

Johnny, who briefly wed makeup artist Lori Allison in 1983 before a string of failed engagments to Winona Ryder, Sherilyn Fenn and Jennifer Grey, and a turbulent relationship with Kate Moss,visited a Southern California high-end boutique to look at an "assortment of classic solitaire diamond rings in platinum settings", finally making a "very large purchase" on Dec. 10.
