After days of waiting for commissioner Scott Gordon to issue his ruling in the Britney Spears/Kevin Federline custody case, it's finally happened — and neither side is walking away with total control.

According to the just-released ruling, Kevin will maintain custody of boys Sean Preston and Jayden James, while Britney is allowed two visits per week — one for seven hours from noon to 7 p.m., and the other an overnight stay from noon until 10 a.m. the following day.

Per the judge's ruling, a major reason for the decision was the testimony of court-appointed parenting coach Lisa Hacker, who reported that Brit failed to meet with her on three separate occasions. Also, Hacker noted that while the singer “loves her children and the children are bonded to Britney,” she also felt that the pop-tart’s “interactions with the children are not child-centered.”

As the document released by the court this afternoon reads, “It seems that Britney’s choices are more dependent on what she wants to do at any given time rather than on what would be more enjoyable for the children.” Hacker added that during her three visits to the Spears home, “Ms. Spears rarely engaged with the children in either conversation or play.”

The parenting coach also expressed concern about the lack of childproofing in Britney's home. To that end, the court has ordered that Brit must have her entire pool area childproofed by the end of this week .

Furthermore, Britney must continue with twice-weekly random drug tests for the next 60 days, after which the tests are reduced to once a week.

Lawyers for both parties are to provide the court with a schedule of proposed visitation dates by November 2.
