Keeping Up with the Kardashians didn’t get recognized Thursday with an Emmy nomination, but there’s still good news for the fashionable clan. The show has been picked up for a third season, E! has announced.
"E! viewers have embraced the Kardashian family and the series has become one of television's most talked about shows," Lisa Berger, Executive Vice President, Original Programming and Series Development for E!, says in a statement. "We are fortunate to work with Seacrest and Bunim-Murray who have an exceptional ability to capture the Kardashians' hilarious, chaotic and always entertaining personalities and family dynamics. There is never a shortage on drama and we are certain the new season will be another wild ride."

The new season is expected to hit airwaves in early 2009.
Perhaps to be featured during the third season will be Khloe Kardashian’s upcoming jail term. The 24-year-old will serve some time behind bars for violating probation, and according to a show insider, will chronicle her prison stay on the series.
