Kristen Stewart: "It Bothers Me That I Can't Be Outside Very Often"

Kristen Stewart's celebrity status shot up when the first Twilight Saga film was released and since then the 20-year-old has really had to change her lifestyle. But it's all worth it if it allows her to continue her passion to work as an actress.

"There's no way to eloquently put this," Kristen tells Vogue in the new February issue. "I just can't go to the mall. It bothers me that I can't be outside very often. And also to not ever be just 'some girl' again. Just being some chick at some place, that's gone."

Although Twilight drastically changed her everyday life, she's very passionate about playing Bella and giving her fans exactly what they want in the character.

Bella Swan is, “a character who is embedded in so many people’s psyches at this point. It’s starting to enter my head a lot more than it used to because it’s at the end and it’s come such a long way."

"I just want the fans of the book to be happy.” she tells Vogue. “I don’t necessarily care about anyone else.”

"Masses of girls identified with Bella in a really profound way, for want of a better word," Kristen explains. "The connection that I've seen people have ... I've seen it physically. It's the characters they're flipping for."

And while Kristen is most-known for her role in Twilight, she has gained the respect of many people in her industry.

Kristen's Welcome to the Riley's director, Jake Scott, first heard about Kristen when Sean Penn was singing her praises after they worked together on Into the Wild.

“Sean said, ‘You’ve gotta see this kid,’ ” Scott recalls. “ ‘She’s just so alive!’ ”

"Kristen was at the top of my list of reasons to do this movie," Bill Condon, Kristen's Breaking Dawn director said, adding she's "one of the smartest actresses I've ever worked with."

"Not only does she have astonishing technical ability, she has an incredibly incisive and serious approach to character," Bill explained. "She has just unlimited potential."
