L.A. Memorial Service Held for Heath Ledger

Family and friends gathered on a rainy Saturday night in Los Angeles to pay their last respects to Heath Ledger.

The private service was reportedly held around 8 p.m. PT at the Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park and Mortuary.

Heath's immediate family and a small group of friends — including former girlfriend Naomi Watts were reported to have attended.

According to the A.P. Ledger's body is now en route to his native Perth, Australia.

The actor's rep said that no public memorial had been planned for Los Angeles.

Westwood Memorial Park is known for being the final resting place for some of Hollywood's elite, including Natalie Wood, Truman Capote and Marilyn Monroe.
