Yesterday, hunky DWTS pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy made comments that celeb contestant Aaron Carter, who happens to be paired with Maks' former fiancée Karina Smirnoff was "full of himself," leading some to speculate he was unhappy with rumors of a romance between Aaron and Karina. But last night, Maks spoke with OK! to clear the air.

“There’s no feud,” Maks insisted to OK!, explaining that his statement was directed at Aaron's foolhardy declarations that he was the likely winner this season. “I’m concentrating on partner Debi Mazar. Everybody’s doing their thing. I just said the comments that he made were premature and the nature of the show is such that, you never know what’s going to happen. Relax and learn your sh*t because we’re all trying to beat you here.”

And though neither Aaron nor Karina spoke with the press after Monday night's performance, Maks, whose engagement to Karina ended only weeks before the beginning of the current season, did offer the following cryptic statement about those pesky romance rumors: “All the other crap — it’s their life and now, this morning, has nothing to do with mine so ‘Mazel Tov!’ to them and whatever.”

Whether or not Aaron is involved with Karina, the young singer has confessed to a crush on pro dancer Chelsie Hightower. Unfortunately, that's a one-way street.
