Marshana Ritchie: The Next Bachelorette?

I was so bummed that Marshana Ritchie, the 27-year-old fashion designer from Brooklyn, N.Y., didn’t win Matt Grant's heart on The Bachelor: London Calling. But that’s not gonna stop my girl from searching for a husband on reality TV. Marshana’s down for being the next Bachelorette.

“If I had to walk to L.A. to film the show, I would,” says Marshana, who admits she’s still single and looking for love. “I haven’t even been on a date since I’ve been home. I would love for ABC to gather me a great cross-section of men from all different walks of life and ethnicities and backgrounds.”

Wouldn’t we all love that? Being an NYC girl myself, I had to know what Marshana had in store for the hunky Brit if he had given her a rose for a home-date. “I definitely wanted to walk the Brooklyn Bridge with him…have good authentic pizza on Fulton St. and cheesecake at Juniors and ride bicycles through Prospect Park,” she reveals. Mmm, cheesecake!

With Matt playing tonsil hockey with virtually every gal left on the show, I wondered why he and Marshana’s only onscreen kiss seemed to lack sizzle. Marshana insists it was just poor editing. “The kiss when I saw it on TV looked like just a peck, and I’m going to say it wasn’t just a peck. We definitely had a passionate open-mouthed kiss,” she clarifies. “He absolutely knows what he’s doing.”

I'm sure the gal who gets the final rose will be glad to hear it.
