The success of today's best TV shows doesn't just rest on the adult members of their casts. Adjust your gazes a little lower and you'll find these small screen stars are aww-inducing — and have awe-inspiring talent, too!

Best Scene-Stealer: Modern Family's Rico Rodriguez

As Sofia Vergara's supersensitive son Manny, he's worn traditional Colombian ponchos to show his love for his heritage, but in real life, 11-year-old Rico is demonstrating a love for the ladies. Reflecting on his acting career, he says, "Every job I've worked on, I always get the hottest mom!"

Kiernan Shipka Nov. 5

Most Troublesome Tot: Mad Men's Kiernan Shipka

Maybe she gets it from her parents: As Mad Men's Sally Draper, 10-year-old Kiernan has puffed cigarettes, sipped alcohol, stolen money and even driven a car. Yet, despite all her lashing out, TV audiences can't help but root for her — and even Kiernan's a Sally fan: "Everything is fun about Sally," she explains. "She's such an adventurous girl!"

Brandon Khalil Nov. 5

Coolest Cutie: Sherri's Brandon Khalil

"Brandon is one of the sweetest, most well-mannered child actors I have had the pleasure of working with," Sherri Shepherd boasts to OK! of her young co-star. The 7-year-old (who plays her son, Bo, on Sherri) is also devoted to his craft: When not filming, this New York kid performs at his arts-oriented school.

Atticus Shaffer Nov. 5

Goofiest Little Guy: The Middle's Atticus Shaffer

Adorable Atticus does a convincing job of playing Brick, the youngest oddball in the eccentric Heck family (his character whispers to himself and finds ketchup packets soothing). Offscreen he's kind of quirky, too! The 11-year-old has a slew of pets, including a "small flock" of chickens, he says. One is named Yeti because, as Atticus explains, "She has white fur and she looks like a yeti."

Jackson Brundage Nov. 5

Silliest Sweetie: One Tree Hill's Jackson Brundage

Despite story lines that include being kidnapped and coping with the death of a pal, Jackson's character Jamie Scott manages to inject a bit of humor into the most serious situations. Not surprisingly, the 8-year-old keeps it light in real life, playing on trampolines, doing karate and romping with his dog.
