OK!'S FASHION WEEK BLOG — REBECCA TAYLOR

SHOW: Walter

WHEN: Sept 12, 2010 (Style 360 at The Metropolitan Pavilion)

WHO: Denise Richards, Katrina Bowden, Nadia Dajani and Mick Rock

FASHION: Minimal, soft, elegant and modern were Walter Bakers buzzwords for his beautifully fluid collection of luxurious day-to-night pieces in the softest silks and crepe de chine. The inclement weather outdoors seemed to inform the dominant palette of cloud grey, charcoal and military green, which included a beautifully-cut hooded trench and flattering silky cropped cargo pants. Dresses included asymmetrical draping and simple tank styles, falling just above the knee. Towering platform peep-toe booties in black and nude added a downtown edge with zip and lacing detail. Accessories were minimal, but included simple hammered silver collars by Bunda Boutique, paired with wide, flat cuffs worn just above the elbow, like elegant urban armor.

BEAUTY: Simplicity was key. Hair was long, glossy, poker-straight and center-parted, and faces were scrubbed clean with just a slick of Napoleon Perdis lipgloss in a pretty peachy blush.

COLOR/OVERHEARD: Katrina showed her appreciation for Walter in a striking black and white leopard print dress from his current fall collection, and told OK! She already has her eye on the silky ombre fringed scarf and a striking crochet fringe top that came down the runway.

Its nice for me to come and just have a really good time. Walter revealed that he plans to move his show up to the Lincoln Center next season. We were too late this time, he told OK!.
