Calm, cool and collected. Oscar host Anne Hathaway walked the red carpet of the 83rd Annual Academy Awards held at the Kodak Theatre on Sunday in Hollywood before the show — without her co-host James Franco. While James was certainly missed, many stars made a red carpet appearance before the big night began!

An adorable and glowing Natalie Portman made her way quickly down the red carpet just before the show began. With a growing baby bump, Natalie didn't seem to want to spend too long on the carpet, but she happily posed for a few photos!

Other stars took their time on the carpet and soaked in the glory — despite the rather chill weather...for Hollywood.

The King's Speech stars Colin Firth, Geoffrey Rush and Helena Bonham Carter all greeted each other on the carpet. And Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield and Justin Timberlake hit the carpet and socialized for The Social Network.

Other notable appearances were Sandra Bullock, Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz (who just welcomed the birth of their baby) and very stylish Scarlett Johansson and Gwyneth Paltrow.
