Prince William Engagement to Kate Middleton Finally a Reality!

Prince Charles' Clarence House office announced today that the Prince of Wales is "delighted to announce the engagement of Prince William to miss Catherine Middleton." Finally, they're engaged!

After meeting more than eight years ago at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, Prince William and Kate got engaged last month during a vacation to Kenya, the Clarence House office reports.

Just as OK! predicted, the royal couple is planning on having their wedding take place in the spring or summer of 2011.

"Prince William has informed the queen and other close members of his family," the Clarence House statement said. "Prince William has also sought the permission of Miss Middleton's father."

"Following the marriage, the couple will live in north Wales, where Prince William will continue to serve with the Royal Air Force."
