When I spot Adrienne Bailon during Orgullosa’s "Skirts Only" fashion show taking place this week in NYC, I nearly do a double-take. Her waist is teeny-tiny!

Fresh off an afternoon that includes pigging out on rice and beans at the Dominican hairstyle salon, the singer/reality star, 29, lists her four slimdown secrets.

1. Make it a lifestyle, not a diet.

“I’m not a big fan of dieting,” she tells me. “I’m more a fan of if you ate a certain thing or indulge, just work out the next day at the gym.”

2. Add Zumba to your fitness routine.

“I love Zumba,” says Rob Kardashian’s ex. “I’m obsessed with Zumba. It’s great for cardio—it lets you burn the calories of my extra rice and beans that I enjoy eating, but it’s a lot of fun. It’s great dancing. It’s something that doesn’t get you bored.”

3. Make smart fashion choices.

“Cinch the waist,” she says. “Show off your curves. I think it’s important to show off your flattering angles.”

She continues, “Especially if you are curvaceous, the worst thing you can do is wear baggy clothes. You should cinch the waist, it definitely shows off the curves.”

4. Know the difference between hunger and thirst.

“Drink a lot of water. I definitely recommend drinking a lot of water. A lot of times they say you’re actually not hungry—most of the times you’re thirsty, and your brain gets the wrong signal or something. If you have the urge to eat, try drinking a bottle of water first. It’ll fill you up.”
