Shooting in Arizona: Sophia Bush Says "It's Been a Lesson"

Chelsea Handler's Chelsea Lately wasn't its usual laugh-fest last night. The comedian showed her serious side while chatting with Sophia Bush, whose cousin was recently killed in the Arizona shooting.

The ladies began by chatting about Sophia's efforts in fundraising for the Gulf Coast and romance on the One Tree Hill set, but then they got very serious.

Over the weekend, Sophia's 9-year-old second-cousin, Christina Green, was killed in the shooting near Tuscon.

"It's been a lesson more than anything for me and for my family that life is incredibly short," Sophia said (via E! News). "You've gotta take every day and tell the people you love that you do.

"It's really important for all of us to take a step back," she continued. "It's easy to get heated and to scream and yell about what's going on in the world, but when it's getting irresponsible, when it's getting out of control in the world of journalism and television..."

"Anything that incites any sort of violence," Chelsea added. "I'm the biggest bully there is. I make fun of everybody... But you can't ever, ever suggest violence."
