Stars Tweet Tributes to Leslie Nielsen: "Shirley, He Will Be Missed"

Stars are taking to their Twitter accounts to pay their respects to Leslie Nielsen after the Airplane! actor passed away on Sunday.

The 84-year-old actor was loved by all kinds of stars as Ryan Seacrest, Slash, Josh Groban, Marlee Maitlin, David Wain, Roger Ebert, Patton Oswalt, Brooke Burke, Nia Vardalos, Kevin Pollak and Russell Brand have all Tweeted tributes (via Entertainment Weekly).

Russell used a famous Airplaine! line in his tribute saying, "Shirley, he will be missed," but Marlee paid respect by remembering Leslie as an acquaintance. Marlee wrote, "A lovely man and acquaintance passed away today — Leslie Nielsen. What a lovely, funny, talented man. He will be missed. RIP."
