I can't be everywhere all the time, but thankfully, I have an army of friends who can make it seem that I am.

When Oakley offered me a day of snowboarding lessons at Sundance I had to respectfully decline. Sadly my Sundance experience doesn't afford me much time to ski and board, but while I was off stalking a few minutes of time with celebs at places like The Hollywood Life House, MySpace Cafe, Nivea Lounge in the House of Hype and rockin' out at Marquee's Rock Band Lounge, my trusty college friend Amber filled in for me and enjoyed a day on the slopes with Oakley.

Here's her guest blog. Enjoy - I'm off for a session with celebrity trainer Gunner Peterson a the 'G' Gatorade Gym at Village at the Yard. The session should help prep me for hitting the Biggest Loser Ranch and training with Bob and Jillian, but  - I'm afraid, very afraid.

Sundace Film Festival has officially started and Hollywood has descended on one of America's favorite ski towns, Park City.

I stopped by the Oakley house this morning for a snowboarding lesson, little did I know pro-snowboarder Laura Hadar was going to give me the lesson. After getting decked out in Olympic silver medalist Gretchen Bleiler’s Oakley goggles and the K2 snowboard she also designed we were off to the mountain. At first I was a little nervous about getting a lesson by a pro but I met my other snowboarding peers Missi Pyle of Spring Breakdown and her husband Casey Anderson, who had just flown in from their honeymoon in Costa Rica, and they put me at ease. On the car ride over they were thinking up funny sayings to go along with the assumed snowboard slang that we didn't know.

It was off to the bunny slope but lucky for us Laura is the most amazing teacher not to mention one of the funniest, coolest, and most talented girls I’ve ever met.

Midday we stopped by the park and watched all the pros including Gretchen Bleiler practice for X Games on the monster 22 foot half pipe. Pros - they make it look so easy.

After doing a few more runs we met up with pro-skater Lauren Perkins, pro-skier Grete Eliassen and Chelsea Jurgensen of Oakley. Grete was boarding instead of skiing and it was fun to see someone who is amazing on skis learn a new sport with the rest of us. Lauren was working on her 180s that were mastered by the end of the day.

Tomorrow I will be back on a snowboard, even though I schlepped my skis all the way here. I wish Laura could ride with me again but she is getting ready for an art opening at her very hip store Fice in downtown Salt Lake City on Saturday. I hope to stop by her store on my way out of town to pick up a rare finding such as the Fice Oakley Frogskins she designed.
