TV Fanatic and OK!'s Rana Meyer and Derek Ivie break down your fave shows of the night?

American Idol: “Here’s my advice for the contestants during the first voting-round of Idol: You need to do a song that shows off your range, but not so great that it’s the best performance of the entire season (yes, I’m talking to you LaKisha!) Not such an easy feat, as the boys of Season Seven proved, though no boys outright embarrassed themselves tonight, except for maybe Danny Norriega, who is a much better singer than his “Jailhouse Rock” allowed him to be. Let’s hope he’s already got built-in fans that want to see more from him, despite the hokey performance. Chikezie (I guess he’s doing the one name moniker now, like Mandisa), and Jason Yeager both chose slow '60s ballads that I’d write the names of down, but to be honest, I just don’t remember what they sang. Yeah, a problem for boys who didn’t get a lot of previous screen time. You got to make the audience stand up and take notice. Which is exactly what Jason Castro and Garret Haley did. Jason was strumming away on his guitar singing “Daydream,” and it didn’t seem like he had a care in the world. Garrett was nervous as all heck on “Breaking up is Hard to Do” and it showed, but no girl under the age of 16 is going to be able to resist that mop of blonde locks and those puppy dog eyes – okay, gals over 16 may not resist it either (in a protective, big sister kind of way). And I personally disagree with the judges. I liked Luke Menard’s “Everybody’s Talkin’.” He’s got this quiet sweet delivery that lulled me in. My fave performance of the night? I kinda dug David Hernadez’ “Midnight Hour.” Memories of Elliot Yamin danced in my head. I hope he gets to stick around and build up his stage confidence. And David Cook can do no wrong in my book. He’s just so damn sexy. What did he sing? Who cares? I just closed my eyes and pretended he was singing it just for me in my living room! The judges were so in love with 17-year-old wunderkid David Archuleta and his version of “Shop Around.” I thought it was the first time we saw his nerves. I guess I’m just not a big a fan of the kid as everyone else is. Didn’t he already win Star Search Juniors?” – TV Fanatic

The Biggest Loser: "All the Losers were sent home to see how they would do in the real world. The members of the Black Team were told to call Jillian every day to help them stay on track. While some succeeded at their home challenge, others failed to stay on their fitness and diet regime. Paul, formerly Yellow, now of Black, refused to call Jillian or answer any of her calls. He went on to eat a giant plate of wings and drink a gargantuan cup of soda. Naughty, naughty! On the Blue Team, the family support was there. The brothers had each other, while Dan had his old partner, his mom, to help him stay on track. Arriving back at the campus, the Black Team had to meet with Jillian. Brittany admitted to eating a small slice of pizza and having one chocolate chip cookie. Paul refused to admit that he was wrong and stood by his guns saying that when he was home he didn't want any one to bother him. Jillian had to stress that they weren't really home, they were still playing the game. At the challenge three members of each team were chosen to do the giant jump rope/duck and cover challenge, that's what I'm calling it! Does anyone else wonder who builds these giant Biggest Loser contraptions? They are great! And where are these deserted lots that they always have the challenges in? Just something to think about. Keep me posted if you know! After over 40 minutes of jumping and ducking Brittany pulls the victory through for the Black Team. They had to choose two people of the Blue Team to weigh in one day early, meaning their last chance workout wouldn't make a difference. They chose Dan who lost 11 lbs. and Roger who lost 16 lbs.! Being home didn't affect them at all! At the weigh-in the brothers put up large numbers as well while the Black Team showed lackluster results. While seeing his puny weight loss Paul looked at Jillian and said he wished he would have called her. That's whatcha get for being a bad boy! In the end Paul was sent home and Kelly, his ex-wife, was the Biggest Loser on their team. Hopefully next week the Black Team can rise to the challenge and get back on their winning streak!" – Derek

One Tree Hill: "Lucas Scott is getting on my bad side. It was bad enough that he kissed ex-girlfriend Peyton last week while his girlfriend Lindsey was just in the other room. But when he goes home to Lindsey and realizes that he found Peyton’s old engagement ring that he was hiding in his sock drawer, he proposed to her!? That is so wrong. I just feel so badly for both her and Peyton. Lindsey just has no idea what Lucas is doing. He obviously still has feelings for Peyton and it is just going to come out wrong in the end. And then poor Peyton is so devastated and is so hard for her to accept the engagement because she can feel Lucas’ real feelings. Over in the already married couple, that nanny is still causing trouble. She is just bad news! Nathan blatantly warned her that she has to stop with the flirting and the skinny-dipping. And I was so proud of Nathan for that. But then she goes ahead and buys a sexy shirt, lies to Haley about the boys not being home for dinner and then she kisses Nathan!! I applaud the boy for having no reaction and he obviously wanted to tell Haley. He needs to fire her, before he gets himself into any more trouble. The most shocking part of the episode was that Mouth’s boss was fired and just when he thought he was out of his job, he was back in. But when he heard she had slept with an employee, he thought his job was toast again. But that was not to be the case. She had been sleeping with the whole office! Mouth still had his job and a chance for an even better one." – Rana
