Gossip Girl: "Oh Lonely Boy. Your writing mentor told you the only way you could really create art on the page was to go out and live life on the edge. And who better to do that with than rich boy extraordinaire Chuck Bass?

Dan Humphrey swallowed all good intentions and went to hang out with Chuck for a regular night on the town, which included recreational drugs washed down with tequila shots. Despite being disposed by Chuck on a rainy corner without his shoes, Dan went back for a second round to get more insight on his newest character and wound up having Chuck's back in a bar fight.

While cooling their heels in jail, Chuck basically revealed why he's such a hedonistic prick. He's jonesing for his father's love and acceptance, but will never have because daddy blames him for his mother, Bart's beloved wife, dying during childbirth. (That's a burden no newborn should endure!) I love when we get these sensitive Chuck moments. Ed Westwick has a way of dropping his usual poker face just enough to show that his emotions are coming from a genuine place. Behind those bars, the boys from the opposing boroughs bonded.

Of course, Chuck found out that Dan was using his life story for the next great American novel and immediately threatened to make his life a living hell. But the damage was already done. Dan had seen the softer side of Chuck, and couldn't use it again him.

Blair Waldorf definitely puts the enemy in frenemy. She can't stand that Serena has become top rung of the school's social hierarchy, and will do everything to knock her off the safety rung. I couldn't agree more with Serena's new friend Poppy who told her that a friend wants you to shine your brightest, not try to bribe your followers away with Fashion Week tickets, move you to the back row in the tents or sabotage your runway debut by putting you in a design by little Jenny Humphrey. Blair totally deserved it when Serena told her "No more!"

Speaking of little Jenny, look at her grow a pair! She told her dad that she wasn't going back to school and was going to spend her time pursuing a fashion career. Umm, don't they live in NYC? Why not have Jenny enroll at Parsons School of Design? It's Tim Gunn approved!

I'm dying to know what is in that shocking dossier Bart Bass showed to his new wife. And does it have anything to do with her affair with Rufus?

No Nate this episode? Come on, I need my weekly dose of boy toy prettiness!" – TV Fanatic
