After traveling the world — from Paris to Berlin to Namibia — together in 2006 while awaiting the birth of baby daughter Shiloh, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie ultimately ended up in what seemed to be an unlikely city for the superstar family — New Orleans, where Brad was shooting his upcoming film, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

So it only makes sense that the superstar would have the world premiere for the movie in the Big Easy itself.

"We wanted to bring it back because New Orleans permeates this film," Brad tells Entertainment Tonight. "This film owes so much to New Orleans itself and the people of New Orleans, so it's really nice for us to unleash it here first."

Since moving to New Orleans, Brad has become a champion for the rebuilding of the city's lower 9th ward, which was devastated by the flooding from Hurricane Katrina in 2005. And before the premiere, he had the chance to check out the progress that's being made toward getting people back into their homes.

"On one hand it's real exciting," he explains. "Families are there for the holidays. On the other hand, it's also frustrating because we got a long way to go and would like to see a lot more being done there."

And as for the Jolie-Pitt family's holiday plans? "That's top secret, man," a suddenly bashful Brad jokes. "Top secret information."
