Julia Roberts has been a busy bee on a whirlwind publicity tour for Eat Pray Love — her latest flick based on Elizabeth Gilbert’s memoir by the same name. The A-list actress and proud mom dished to Entertainment Tonight about what it was like having Brad Pitt as her producer and why she was nervous about taking on the film in the first place.

Brad’s production company, Plan B Entertainment, is behind bringing Elizabeth Gilbert’s memoir to life, and Brad personally approached Julia about playing the role.

“I was really beholden to him that he would think of me and come to  me with this, because I think it is really a great defining moment for me as an actor,” Julia told ET‘s Mark Steines. “I don’t usually work this hard anymore. This was an enormous workload and it really made me very clear about the joy I still possess for doing it.”

As far as Brad serving as her boss, Julia said with a chuckle, “He was around for a little bit in the beginning. He is a busy man himself. He left most of the heavy lifting to his producing partner, who did a great job.”

When asked whether she does more eating, praying or loving in real life, the actress said, “love,” but explained, “You need them all to live. You can’t have too much love, but God knows I love to eat.”

In the book, Elizabeth Gilbert gained 30 pounds while indulging in pasta, gelato and basically every carb she could get her hand on while in Italy.

So what was it like for Julia filming the many food scenes, with no spit bucket at hand?

“By the time we would cut I’d be done with an entire pizza or a whole bowl of pasta,” she said. “The take would just go on and on and I’d love it.”
