VIDEO: Kevin Costner's Water-Cleaning Machine to Help in the Gulf

As oil continues to flow into the Gulf of Mexico nearly two months after an offshore rig exploded, killing and injuring workers, endangering the ecosystem and threatening the livelihood of those who live off of the sea, help could be coming from an unlikely place: Kevin Costner. The actor revealed recently on CNN that he's been working on a machine that can remove up to 99.9 percent of oil from water at the rate of 200 gallons per minute.

Kevin explained to Anderson Cooper that his machine has been in development since 1992. Since that time he's been working on perfecting it, perhaps somewhat of a lucky coincidence for citizens of the Gulf (and the world) as the government urges BP to find a way to stop the gushing oil pipe.
