Viola Davis' Emotional Speech After Being Named Best Actress at the Critics' Choice Awards

Viola Davis gave one of the best acceptance speeches ever last night as she received the title of Best Actress at the Critics' Choice Movie Awards in Los Angeles, Calif.

The Help star, who delivers an emotional and heartwrenching performance in the Golden Globe-nominated film, delivered an equally touching speech, starting off by saying, "The two most important days in a person's life is the day you were born and the day you discover why you were born. I absolutely knew I wanted to be an actor because I wanted to be somebody," an emotional Viola added. "I wanted to dream big and make a mark somehow." And she sure has. 

Everyone in the audience was moved by Viola's words, including her Doubt co-star and fellow Best Actress nominee, Meryl Streep, who said three years ago, "The gigantically gifted Viola Davis — my God, somebody give her a movie!" Well Meryl, she finally got her movie!

"To be a part of a story that is such an incredible part of American history, to show that, you know what, even despite the atrocities that can happen in the past friendship and love can help us find our way," Viola ended with.
