In a new spoof video from Funny or Die, Chace Crawford helps explain how Matthew Morrison got to where he is today — even though he's never met him.

Before Matthew landed his role as Will Schuester on Glee, he starred in Flee and Plea!

"What did I learn from Matt Morrison?" Chace asks in the Funny or Die video. "Matt taught me a lot about surfing and really how to ride that wave out until the very end. And in turn, that taught me about love and life and how to cook an oatmeal frittata and how to build up my pecs so I can see all six of my abs now."

"No, I've never actually met Matt," Chace clarifies.

Matthew had a hard time landing roles in Hollywood, but he did have short gigs in some singing shows.

“I promise you ‘Pleaks’ out there a DVD box set is on its way,” he said.
