Bachelor Brad Womack had to say goodbye to 28-year-old Chantal O'Brien last night, after leading her on all season. Chantal's limo sob-fest as she drove away from South African paradise was tough to watch. She was honest and upfront with her feelings all season, gaining notoriety on the show when she slapped Brad the first time she met him. In the end, she left heartbroken, but she wasn't going to let Brad get off the hook that easy.

So how did the breakup go down?

With Chantal he began the obligatory round of compliments, having trouble looking her in the eyes.

“The very first time, I laid eyes on you I felt a connection and that connection has only grown over time. And that’s something I always looked for…” he began listing all the wonderful things he liked about her, before dropping the bomb.

“I don’t know how else to say it except I have stronger feelings for someone else.”

Chantal immediately began crying, forcing out the words, “You’re an amazing person and Emily is very lucky. It just sucks that I felt so strongly.”

“It doesn’t make sense. My heart just really hurts right now,” Chantal sobbed as she drove away in the limo. “I feel really stupid. How can I have been so convinced that he was the one? He didn’t even love me.”

Last night,  months after taping has ended, Chantal faced Brad for the first time since the break-up, one-on-one during the "After the Final Rose" special.

Chantal had one question: "At what point did you know that it was going to be Emily?"

"That's a tough question to answer. In a lot of ways I don't want to hurt you, but also I've always been honest with you. I knew very, very early on that I had feelings for Emily. But there is no denying the instant chemistry, our friendship that we had, I didn't want to give up on that. I really didn't think of the conversations we had and the dates we had. We had so much fun. I wanted you to stick around."

Chantal wasn't buying it: "It feels like you are just being like, 'I thought you were cool and I already knew I was going to pick Emily so I just figured you deserved to hang around'..." she fired back.

"Not so much," Brad replied, hurting Chantal's pride even more.

"I thought you deserved to be there till the very end," Brad said trying to recover.

Another remark that Chantal didn't take kindly to.

"I'm not trying to beat a dead horse but to say 'you deserved to be there versus I really thought I could spend my life with you'...that is harsh."

Chantal then broke down in tears, and Brad comforted her. She didn't seem to get any closure out of their relationship.

She did reveal that she had moved on with a new man.

"When I went home I was obviously very hurt and trying to figure out what I'm gonna do and it's funny that I met somebody and it was totally unexpected," she explained. "I don't want to get all crazy  here, but he is definitely everything that I'm looking for."
