Christine O'Donnell couldn't handled the hot seat last night on CNN with Piers Morgan. When the host continued to ask questions about the Delaware Republican's views on gay marriages, Christine made things uncomfortable by walking off set.
Christine appeared via satellite on the CNN show Wednesday night, on hand to promote her book Troublemaker: Let's Do What It Takes to Make America Great Again — and one of the topics in the book is same-sex marriage.
But the controversial politician said she wasn't on hand to to speak about the hot button issue, and want to discuss other things during her time on CNN.
"What is your view of gay marriage?" Piers pressed to Christine's response, "I address that stuff in the book."
"You can't — you're on here to promote the damn book," Piers said. "So, you can't keep saying it's all in the book. You got to repeat some of it."
As Piers continued to press for info, Christine's discomfort rose.
"You're borderline being a little bit rude now," she said, maintaining she didn't want to talk about the issue because it's not at the forefront of her political agenda.
"It's not a topic that I choose to embrace," she explained. "I'm not championing it right now. I've been there, done that, gone down that road."
And as the tension grew, Piers asked Christine, "Why are you being so weird about this?" to which she responded, "I'm not being weird. You're being a little rude."
"I'm baffled as to why you think I'm being rude," he told her. "I think I'm being rather charming and respectful. I'm just asking questions based on your own public statements and now what you've written in your own book. It's hardly rude to ask you that, surely."
"Well, don't you think as a host, if I say this is what I want to talk about, that's what we should address?" she asked, before walking off.
"I'm being pulled away. You know, we turned down another interview for this," she said, as she stormed away.
Piers remained calm and then asked Christine to appear on Thursday's show to talk about the walk-off.
"I promise not to be even remotely rude," he said.
But, Christine is booked.
