Hines story was a celebration of his mother — a thank you for supporting him in football.

"My mom, she didn’t raise no quitter," Hines shared during rehearsal. "I can never pay my mom back for all the sacrifices she’s made for me."

In the end, the judges all had rave reviews for the footballer!

"Mama, you must be so proud of him," Carrie Ann Inaba said to his mom sitting in the audience. "Hines, you were dancing the Samba like you've been dancing the Samba your whole life."

"It's obvious Carrie Ann is proud of you," Len Goodman chimed in. "Your mother's proud of you, and I'll tell you what, I'm proud of you."

In true Bruno Tonioli fashion, the judge echoed his fellow partners on the panel, but made sure to flail his arms dramatically as he praised Hines for his "butt-shaking" and spoke about "happy hour."

"Bouncing butt, shaking butt, two for the price of one, happy hour," he exclaimed.

So how did Hines' mom feel about the celebratory tribute?

"She loved it. It was a nice tribute to her about a life of celebration," Hines told reporters after the show. "But I owe it all to Kym, portraying what my life has been thus far. She choreographed it great to the song I picked out."
