Instead of making a big announcement, Kate Hudson was waiting for someone to notice her new engagement ring and this morning on Today, Matt Lauer did!
OK! NEWS: KATE HUDSON REVEAL BIG NEWS ON TODAY — "I'M ENGAGED!"
It was hard for Matt to miss Kate's big sparkly diamond, which practically blinded him during their interview on Today.
"Could you place your hand in my hand for a second please?" Matt asked. "I just want to see something."
Kate laughed and held out her hand for Matt to see.
Kate giggled and gave the host her hand, and a closeup revealed a very large diamond. "Is this new?" he asked.
"This is new!" Kate said and admitted, "I'm engaged! It just happened a week ago."
"I'm so glad you noticed," she added. "I haven't really announced it and the announcing thing feels so silly, so I was waiting for someone to notice."

Kate is expecting a baby with fiancé Matthew Bellamy, the frontman of Muse.
"He's a beautiful man and I'm very excited," Kate, 32, said. She wouldn't reveal details of how he proposed, but said it was "very sweet and very romantic."
