Pope Benedict XVI is a member of the Twitter-verse! He used his iPad yesterday to send his first Tweet.

The Pope doesn't have his own Twitter account yet, but is instead using the Vatican's new account.
“Dear Friends, I just launched News.va. Praised be our Lord Jesus Christ!" the 84-year-old wrote. "With my prayers and blessings, Benedictus XVI."
New on the page is written in both Italian and English and, according to Just Jared, it plans to have more languages added in the future.
But the Vatican has a long ways to go if they want to beat Justin Bieber or Charlie Sheen in followers. So far, they're only at about 41,000!
