Romeo was forced to hang up his dancing shoes last night, as he was the latest castoff on Season 12 of Dancing With the Stars. The singer took his elimination very graciously, and received a standing ovation from the judges and the audience, as he and pro partner Chelsie Hightower said their final goodbyes.

"I'm surprised because that was one of my best dances last night," Romeo said. "But at the same time I'm not surprised, because of the competition this year."

He also praised Chelsie for turning him into a dancer. He shared that he was sad that she had to leave the competition now as well, as she got him to do things he “could never do, like shake my butt, shimmy on the ground.”

Romeo explained that before the show he was “that kid who never danced.”

With Romeo's elimination, the final four was also revealed last night — Kirstie Alley, Ralph Macchio, Chelsea Kane and Hines Ward are all out for the mirror ball trophy.

Hines shared that he would miss the "spunk" Romeo and Chelsie gave to the group.

"They constantly reminded us old folks that they were young," he told reporters after the results show. "You hate to see them leave, but this is a competition. We're so glad to be here."

"He's so adorable! I love chatting with him backstage," Hines' pro partner Kym Johnson added. "We'd have fun and he'd teach me some songs. He has just such a great energy, both him and Chelsie. We're really going to miss them.
