Watch Scotty McCreery's 'American Idol' Hometown Performance With Josh Turner!

American Idol's Scotty McCreery returned to his hometown of Garner, N.C. on Saturday to perform for his fans. But Scotty got a huge surprise while onstage from his own country idol!

American Idol filmed Scotty's performance, which will air during Thursday's show, and captured Josh Turner sneaking up next to him on stage!

“He didn’t see me until we were almost face-to-face. I think I almost gave him a heart attack,” Josh explained afterwards (via Entertainment Weekly).

Scotty had just explained to his fans that he hasn't lost his faith while he's been working in L.A. and, in fact, it's only gotten stronger.

But when Josh took the stage Scotty let out an "Oh My God!" followed by "Oh My Goodness!"

After the initial shock wore off, Scotty sang "Your Man" and Long Black Train" with Josh.
