When it comes to etiquette, manners and overall good behavior, even celebrities need help navigating the rough waters of stardom! It’s a good thing Countess LuAnn de Lesseps of the Real Housewives of New York is joining forces with OK! to school them on the right thing to do! In a rough situation, we just ask, “What Would the Countess Do?” This week the Countess sheds insight on celebrity relationships and prepping for bikini season!
Do relationships under the scrutiny of the Hollywood spotlight ?require some game-playing? Why do couples seem to break up only to ?make up?
Celebrities have a difficult time keeping their dating lives secret but some stars manage to keep new relationships under wraps until they are on solid ground. Twilight stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson kept their relationship secret amidst rumors to the contrary until they were ready to share the news with their fans. I chose to keep my boyfriend Jacques a secret initially because I wanted to keep him all to myself and I didn’t want the publicity to affect our new relationship. I’m always skeptical of celebrity relationship gossip. A small tiff in a restaurant overheard by paparazzi turns into a major relationship-ending blowout in the press.
Tip: When keeping a relationship out of the public eye, avoid the hottest restaurants and clubs where paparazzi troll for stories.
With the start of bikini season come the multiple invitations to ?barbecues. How do you maintain healthy eating habits with constant ?temptations around at summer parties?
Barbecues can be diet busters, especially if you arrive at the party hungry. I always have a light snack before going out so that I’m not starving when I arrive at a party. Most summer barbecues include salads and fruit on the menu, so I suggest that you fill up on the healthy dishes while limiting the amount of meat you consume. Hydrate with water rather than cocktails, especially on hot days.
Tip: Eating small, healthy meals throughout the day will keep you from over-indulging.
Tune in to Bravo on Thursdays at 10 ET for the third season of The Real Housewives of New York City.
