For Your Consideration: Cast of 'Glee' Covers 'Emmy'

In the "For Your Consideration" issue of Emmy Magazine, the cast of Glee is taking over the cover and have made this the largest issue in the publication's 31-year history!

The issue weighs in at 2.5 lbs with 240 pages and is filled with Glee interviews!

Both Jane Lynch and Lea Michele tell Emmy they feel a connection to their characters.

“There’s a real person beneath the bravado who wants to be accepted and loved although she would never show that," Jane says of her character Sue Sylvester. "In her narcissistic view of the world, everything’s about one-upping and victory. I had an acting teacher in college we called the Dragon Lady. She taught through shame and humiliation, and when she walked down the hall, people would part like the Red Sea."

Lea made executives cry during her audition for the role of Rachel Berry and she was offered it on the spot!

“The minute I read Rachel Berry, I felt such a connection to her," Rachel explains. "Her drive and passion for singing and performing – that’s my therapy in life. It helps me learn who I am. Rachel’s on that same journey.”

Amber Riley and Cory Monteith reminisce about their lives before Glee.

Amber didn't make it past her first audition on American Idol, but isn't holding a grudge against Simon Cowell or the crew.

“I don’t have anything to say to the judges," she explains. "I let my work speak for itself.”

Cory didn't mind his job before Glee, but it was drastically different!

“I’d drive around in my Honda Civic visiting 7-Elevens. I’d pretend I was looking for a certain product, quiz the clerks and, depending on their performance, reward them with cash prizes," Cory shares on his job as a secret shopper in Vancouver. "It wasn’t a bad way to earn a paycheck.”

As for Chris Colfer, his work on Glee is amazing even to himself!

“Being told to dance one of the most iconic dances in pop-culture when you can barely tap your shoes?" Chris says on performing Beyoncé's "Single Ladies" routine. "Yes, I was proud of myself.”
