Britney Spears is making her magazine rounds, and she wants everyone to know she’s BACK! And what better way to show that than to share a magazine cover with Madonna! Brit and her idol share a flip cover for the April 2010 OUT magazine!
Madonna’s cover shot was taken by photog Richard Corman back in 1982, a year before the Material Girl launched to super star status.
In the issue which celebrates “Ladies We Love,” Richard tells the story of meeting Madonna, sharing that the icon served him “a cup of coffee on a silver tray with three pieces of Bazooka bubblegum,” via Just Jared.
Brit, whose latest record Femme Fatale is slated for release on March 29, tells the magazine that she knew she was destined for the limelight.
“I was in seventh grade and it was career day and I remember thinking that I wanted to be an entertainment lawyer,” she explains. “I always knew I would be in this business somehow. I think this path worked out way better.”
Brit totes Femme Fatale, “My most upbeat and mature album yet,” the mother of two gives shout outs to “amazing entertainer” Madonna and actress Sarah Jessica Parker as her inspirations.
How does she like to spend her free time?
“Playing with my boys, getting some frozen yogurt, working out and taking a nap,” she shares.
Brit also takes a stance on gay marriage.
“I love my boys no matter what,” she says, and voicing her support for gay marriage, “I think everyone should be treated equally.”
Brit feels just as connected to this album as she has in the past.
“It’s such a cool feeling to hear your own song play on the radio,” she says. “I still have the same kind of excitement when I hear any of my songs today.”
She adds, “All of my songs are f**king amazing.”
