Emily Kraus and her boyfriend were driving to Hershy, Pennsylvania, to catch a concert when they stopped to pick up a hitchhiker whose bike had sprung a flat tire in the middle of nowhere.

According to reports, they almost didn't pull over at first because they were running late for the show—but luckily they did—as the stranded cyclist turned out to be none other than…. Dave Matthews!

The eco-friendly musician had gone for a bike ride ahead of his concert and suffered a flat tire, leaving him stranded and desperate, without a cell phone to call for help.

Kraus told WPXI that she and her boyfriend were too star struck to make much conversation with Matthews, but that he made sure to pay them back for their act of charity!

The rocker offered them dinner backstage and swapped their existing concert tickets for front-row seats!

“We didn’t know how to make conversation with him, so we were talking about his tour and where he had come from,” Kraus said. “I woke up this morning and said, ‘OK, yeah, that really happened.’ It was surreal.”
