After what has been promoted as one of the "most romantic proposals in Bachelor history," Brad Womack and his fiancée Emily Maynard are working through some pretty tough relationship issues. Since the season has ended, Brad and Emily revealed last night on the After The Final Rose special that they have broken up and got back together and have had some heated arguments. Emily also sported a ring-less finger, not wearing the Neil Lane diamond sparkler Brad proposed with.

But don't worry — the reason Emily wasn't wearing her ring didn't mean the engagement is off, it was just too big.

"I'm more in love with that woman than I have ever been in my entire life," Brad told host Chris Harrison, before his girl joined him in the hot seat. "I've finally found my girl. She's had my heart. She always will."

"She is the most genuinely kind human being that I've ever met. She makes me want to be a better person. I'd marry her right now."

Then he dropped a bomb — "I tried to marry her when the show was airing."

Chris explained that the after the final rose special was supposed to be Brad and Emily's saying "I Do" in Anguilla. But plans fell through.

"This was going to be your wedding day," Chris explained to a shocked audience. "We were going to fly you back to Anguilla and tape your wedding."

"It's been a tough go," Brad added, saying he and Emily broke up for a short period of time. "Anytime I hear Emily say  'I just can't do this. I'm leaving.' That was an ultimate low. She can be tough… sweet little Emily can be tough."

But they are still engaged.

"In my mind, yes, I have always been engaged to this women. I'm fighting tooth and nail. I'm not letting her go."

Emily joined Brad on stage and was very honest with her feelings.

"It's certainly not all roses, but I'm very confident in how I feel about him," she began. "I really do love him."

"Do you consider yourself an engaged couple?" Chris asked.

"I do, I'm glad to be able to say it in front of people."

Is Emily ready for marriage?

"Right now in this instant, I love you, but no. I wish I was, but I'm being honest but we have some things we need to figure out. How we fight and how we deal with things and how we communicate," she explained. "It has nothing to do with the way I feel about him. I love him with every part of who I am."

"Could I move to Austin today, no," she continued, and the audience gasped.

Brad's response: "The one thing that I love about you, among anything, is your honesty."

Emily also explained it was very difficult for her to watch Brad with the other woman during the season.

"We had to go through something that is very extraordinary," she explained. "On top of everything else you have to deal with, every Monday I would have extreme anxiety. It was not a happy day in Brad Womack's house…"

"I obviously knew it wasn't going to be lets watch the Emily and Brad show. I didn't think he would give them so much material to work with. He was an angel on earth," she quipped.

As for seeing Brad and Chantal's relationship unfold: "Watching it, it was tough. The highs and lows…on one point you can feel on top of the world and the next you can question what you had. I felt like we had a relationship with none of the other girls had, and then watching it I just saw how much fun they Brad and Chantal had and I was watching it thinking "well I would have picker her" honestly they had so much fun together and then I watched ours and honestly I look so boring and I was falling asleep during our dates and I wanted to ring a bell in my ear."

"I'm not this uptight girl that I game across as. I like to have fun too. I just felt like if I was given dates that I got to go diving with sharks and going down freakin' lines in the jungle I would have been fun too," she added, as the audience cheered her on.

"What drives you to the point where you would sabotage your own engagement," Chris asked Emily.

"As soon as I feel like I'm about to get hurt, I just put up a shell..."

"Why do you feel you are about to get hurt," Chris posed back.

"I think that because I've been in love and I lost, I don't want to go through that again. I don't want to go through heartbreak again."

"You're not losing my love at all," Brad chimed in to comfort Emily.

So how heated do their arguments get?

"He's got a bit of a temper, his family warned me," Emily shared. "His brother said, "has she poked the bear yet," and now I know what that means."

"It's pretty volatile sometimes… Over the phone most," Brad added.

Emily said of watching the show: "I'm trying to figure out what's reality TV and what's my reality."

"He said a couple times that he fell in love pretty early and I just feel like if you fell in love pretty early there should have been some things that were saved for me. I mean other than the proposal, I feel like dime a dozen," she said. "I want to see us in real life. I feel like we will have a clean slate. I'm not gonna have anxiety ever Monday night. He's not either. I feel like we are going to have a fresh start."

Brad admitted to loosing his cool at times.

"I can loose my temper I can, but she's worth it to try and change. Maybe I regret letting myself get to that point that makes her feel anything less than loved...the whole experience was worth meeting her."

So will wedding bells be in their future?

"I think the way I feel about him I can't compare it to anybody else. I know he has put up with me. I can't see my everyday life without him in it. So yea, I do see us getting married."
