Heather Morris Voted Off On Week 6 And Fans Are NOT Okay With It

Heather Morris went from a major high to a heartbreaking low on last night’s episode of Dancing With The Stars.

The former Glee star and her partner Maks Chmerkovskiy started the night by dominating the dance floor with a rumba set to TLC’s “Waterfalls.” Heather got her first perfect 10 — and the season’s first perfect score, 40/40! — of the competition.

But things soon took a turn when Heather ended up in the bottom two with ice skater Nancy Kerrigan and then, ultimately, got eliminated altogether.

Audience members immediately booed the news.

“I have to say in 24 seasons, that is probably the most vocally unhappy reaction we’ve gotten about a result,” host Tom Bergeron said.

Fans online weren’t happy either, and they took to Twitter to express their harsh disappointment.

“Heather Morris being eliminated in week 6 has to be the most controversial elimination in all 24 seasons of #DWTS history,” one disgruntled viewer tweeted.

Some fans called out the show for being sexist: “I feel sorry for the younger girls who are watching this show as aspiring dancers and have to see such sexist results #DWTS.”

Others were left speechless and could only use gifs to express their shock.

Heather, a former professional dancer, seemed a shoo-in for the finals. But her season was marred by the absence of her original partner, Maks, when he suffered a calf injury.
