As Britney Spears' cousin/best friend/personal assistant Alli Sims was leaving a party at the Hollywood Hills home of Michael Schwab just before 3 A.M. on August 12, Aaron Cohen of IMS Security served Alli with a subpoena requiring her to give a deposition in the escalating custody battle between Brit and her ex-husband Kevin Federline. She tried to avoid accepting service but Aaron made sure the papers got into her car with her, a source tells OK!. Alli was departing the bash with long time Brit friend, music producer JR Rotem. Britney left a minute later in a separate car and missed the drama. K-Fed's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan sent the subpoena, and his choice of Cohen and IMS Security to deliver it was no accident. IMS stands for Israeli Military Specialist and Cohen has recently become the darling of Hollywood security, having provided bodyguard service for stars from Brad Pitt to Jackie Chan. It was very important that Alli not be able to avoid this subpoena, the source says. So Kaplan went with the best to make sure the job got done. Next up in the war for custody of Sean Preston Federline, 2, and his one-year-old brother Jayden James is a hearing in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Aug. 14, on the petitions filed by various media organizations challenging the sealing of the case files. Child custody cases are routinely sealed in Los Angeles County but the judge is required to hear opposition motions from the media. The case is being fast-tracked before a family law judge with hearings set for this coming week. That being said, it still remains to be seen whether or not this latest development will slow Britney's nightclubbing.Photo: Wireimage.com
