Gigi Hadid and her baby daddy, Zayn Malik, are preparing for the birth of their baby girl in their recently renovated Manhattan penthouse. The couple has picked out furniture for their nursery, in addition to reading through some parenting books. “Zayn and Gigi are really excited,” a source told E! News, “and have been loving this experience together.”
The model, 25, and the One Direction alum, 27, have been in an off-again, on-again relationship for the past four years. Hadid — who had a quick fling last August with Bachelor Nation favorite Tyler Cameron — reunited with her old flame Malik last December, and the two have been on cloud nine together ever since. "Gigi and Zayn are feeling blessed and are so happy that the baby is healthy and everything is going smoothly so far,” an insider shared.

Hadid spent the summer on her 32-acre property in Pennsylvania — which she owns with supermodel little sister Bella Hadid — but she moved back to New York City recently, where she plans to deliver her baby girl.
Though the pair has been keeping the pregnancy on the low-down, she explained in mid-July during an Instagram Live with V Magazine that their decision to start a family was just "not the most important thing going on in the world."
"I felt that it's not really something that I need to share apart from with my family and friends,” she shared. "Obviously a lot of people have lost lives due to the coronavirus that was in the beginning of quarantine and still happening.”

“And then we moved obviously into the reemergence of the BLM Black Lives Matter movement, and I thought that our presence on social media should be used for that,” she added.
Of course, her 56 million followers have been waiting for any information regarding her bun in the oven, but the blonde babe revealed it’s something she will share with her fans eventually. “I feel like right now I just want to experience it, and I write in my journal a lot, and I just don’t want to worry about waking up every day during my pregnancy and like worry about having to look cute or post something,” she said.
However, Hadid did give fans a glimpse into her relationship with Malik by sharing a sweet snapshot of the two of them smooching. “Baby daddy,” she captioned the picture. Hailey Baldwin commented with several heart emojis and heart eyed emojis, while Queer Eye star Antoni Porowski wrote, “bébés.”

It seems like the A-listers are relishing this time out of the spotlight. So much so, a source told E! News that the California native is “really enjoying the low-key lifestyle.”
“They spend a lot of time outdoors in the open fields and have a lot of space to themselves at the house,” the insider explained. “It’s a nice change of pace and Gigi does not want to return to a chaotic lifestyle.”
In August, Hadid seemingly shared some of what she’s been craving amid her pregnancy. “Summer gratitude,” the catwalk queen captioned homemade cinnamon buns, fresh-picked strawberries from their garden, and a sushi roll.

Fortunately, Malik has been by Hadid's side through it all. "They are closer as a couple more than ever," the insider said.
One thing is for sure — all eyes will be on the duo after they welcome their baby girl into the world.
