Cardi B made major headlines when she filed for divorce from her husband of three years, Offset, at an Atlanta, Georgia, courthouse on Tuesday, September 15 — with the documents reportedly asking for legal custody and primary physical custody of their 2-year-old daughter, Kulture.
However, according to TMZ, the 27-year-old 'WAP' rapper wants Offset, 28, to have joint custody of their daughter and hopes to make their co-parenting situation as easy — and amicable — as possible.

Even though the pair have broken up and gotten back together in the past, the court documents stated that their marriage was "irretrievably broken" and that "there are no prospects for a reconciliation."
The Migos member has cheated on Cardi in the past, but luckily, they were able to work through their problems. Now, the mom of one reportedly found out her man was unfaithful yet again, which was the last straw. "Offset has pretty much cheated the entire time they’ve been together, but Cardi looked the other way because of the baby," a source told PEOPLE. "She also didn’t want to be embarrassed. But she’s had enough."
Ultimately, Cardi knows she will never "trust" Offset. "She's really tried for the last two years and has tried to forgive him. It's been hard for her since the last cheating scandal and there have been rumors of him being unfaithful again," an insider told E! News.
"He has been pleading with her that he hasn't, but many girls have come forward with claims. She had enough and decided to file," the source said, adding that Cardi "wants to be a good example for her daughter and women out there."
The musical artists got engaged in 2017, but in December 2018, Cardi revealed they were ending their relationship. At the time, there were rumors swirling that Offset had cheated on Cardi in December 2017 — just three months after they got married.

Cardi later confirmed that Offset had strayed. "It’s not right, what he f**king did — but people don’t know what I did, ‘cause I ain’t no angel," she told Cosmopolitan in 2018 about why she decided to stand by her hubby. "I want to work out my s**t with my man, and I don’t got to explain why."
The duo seemed to work past their issues, given that they couldn’t keep their hands off each other at the Grammy Awards in January 2019.

The Love & Hip Hop: New York alum got candid about her intense marriage during an interview with Elle magazine for their September issue. "There’s always rumors about me and my husband, and I feel like people would rather start rumors because they want me to be heartbroken," she said. "They want me to be hurt. I do know that my relationship has a lot of drama and everything. But there’s a lot of love, there’s a lot of passion, there’s a lot of trust, there’s a big friendship. It’s always us against the world."
Offset and Cardi have yet to publicly speak about their divorce. The divorce hearing is set for Wednesday, November 4.
