It was an anniversary to remember. To celebrate 18 years of marriage on July 4. Julia and Danny spent the day lying low and enjoying each other’s company at their Malibu mansion. It’s far cry from the “bumpy few years” the couple reportedly spent living separate lives while on the brink of divorce.
“They’ve had their share of problems,” says an insider of the Homecoming actress, 52, and her cameraman hubby, 51, who share three kids. “At one point, it seemed they were definitely headed for a split.”
However, the thought of breaking up their family ultimately pushed them into therapy, explains the insider, where they got back on track.
“Friends have said that therapy’s been the key to saving their marriage. Danny's more hands-on at home now as a result, and they communicate better,” shares the insider.
