The actor, 41, who is in Detroit filming Batman vs. Superman, has frequented area casinos—and lost thousands of dollars—even after promising wife Jennifer Garner, 42, he would stop after he was booted from Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in April for counting cards. While Ben’s reps deny he has a gambling problem, an insider tells OK!: “Since moving to Detroit, Ben has come into the casino almost daily to gamble.”

On the afternoon of May 24, Ben was spotted playing blackjack at MotorCity Casino Hotel, looking disheveled and upset. “He looked really frazzled, like he was losing a ton of money,” the insider says. “His eyes were bloodshot. It seemed like he’d been there all night.”

A week later, Ben drove to Ontario, Canada, where he gambled at Caesars Windsor Hotel and Casino, before getting kicked out 20 minutes later. It’s no surprise that Jen is reaching her limit with Ben’s bad behavior, even canceling a family vacation in the wake of his actions. “The marriage is hanging by a thread,” a source claims. “Jen is worried he’ll lose their fortune. It’s a never-ending roller coaster with him—and she just wants to get off.”
