Michael Strahan Is Officially Joining Good Morning America

Morning Show Shake-up! Right on the heels of Josh Elliott announcing his move from ABC's Good Morning America to their rivals at NBC, comes news that former New York Giant Michael Strahan will split his duties at Live! with Kelly and Michael with a part-time gig on GMA.

And while rumors have been swirling since yesterday, Strahan officially made the announcement on today's Live!, telling the audience, "The big news is that I'm gonna be on 'GMA' now."

OK! News: Kelly Osbourne is in Rehab—Again

But fans shouldn't be worried that they'll see him any less on his regular gig. "I just want everyone to know and Kelly to know that no matter what, this is my number one priority," he said. "And you Kelly are my number one priority, and I would never do anything to jeopardize the quality of what I do here."

So was he surprised that the news got out so quickly? You could say so! He went on to explain, "So what is so surprising is I had a meeting, and we talked about the possibility there, and then I went to see Captain America with Samuel L. Jackson and I get out of screening and I check my messages and I'm on Good Morning America."
