The pro tennis player made her first outing at the Met Gala Monday night since announcing her pregnancy. Williams was of course accompanied by her doting fiance. The couple surely made a mark on the red carpet as Serena stunned in a green Versace gown while Alex looked dapper in a classic tuxedo.

But what really made a mark on the night was when the super couple posed for the photoblog Humans of New York, and Alexis shared one of the qualities he loves so dearly about his pregnant soon-to-be wife.

“She has the biggest heart,” he said. “Everyone sees her success as an athlete, but all of that is layered on the size of her heart. She gives 100% of herself to everything she does: as a friend, as a lover, and soon, as a mother.”
