1. Jennifer Lawrence falls... again.
People joked about it happening, but did anyone really believe that America's Sweetheart would take another tumble on the red carpet mere moments after exiting her limo? J.Law, never change.

2. The acceptance speeches from all four acting winners.
Everyone really brought their A game when it came to speeches. Each one was stirring, emotional, elated, and touching. Tears, oh, the tears.

3. Pharrell performs his infectious hit, "Happy."
It's the most delightful song in recent memory, and the stage filled up with what looked like Gap commercial dancers while Pharrell flitted among them. Then he jumped down to the front row and boogied with Lupita, Meryl Streep, and Amy Adams.

4. Ellen orders pizza for the in crowd.
An unforgettable image: Brad Pitt handing out paper plates while Meryl Streep and Jennifer Lawrence house a slice. No worries about getting cheese on the couture for these ladies.

5. John Travolta butchers Idina Menzel's name.
Everyone loves "Let It Go," right? Well, maybe everyone except John Travolta, who has apparently never heard of Idina before (for shame!). He presented with by introducing "Adele Dazeem." Who?

6. Ellen snaps a selfie.
Aiming to break a Twitter record—and succeeding—the hostess with the mostest got all the biggest stars of the night to pose for a selfie. Extra points to Lupita's brother for forcing his way into the pic. That kid's got moxie.

7. Better Midler sings "Wind Beneath My Wings" after the In Memoriam segment.
It was a perfect pop culture moment. Bette is a natural treasure.
8. Pink's mysterious performance is revealed.
Pink was announced as a performer, but her plan was shrouded in mystery. Turned out she was singing a tribute to Judy Garland, as The Wizard of Oz is celebrating its 75th anniversary. Her ruby-slipper dress was perfect.

9. Bill Murray's tribute to Harold Ramis.
In the midst of presenting the best cinematography award with Amy Adams, Bill turned to the camera after the list of nominees and said, "We forgot one. Harold Ramis for Caddyshack, Ghostbusters, and Groundhog Day." Lovely.
10. All the family love.
Leonardo DiCaprio, Matthew McConaughey, Jonah Hill, and Jared Leto all brought their moms, and Lupita brought her brother. They all made points to thank their families in their speeches, too.

11. Liza. Minnelli.
Liza with a Z was present, along with her siblings, for the tribute to her mother Judy Garland. She was also rocking royal blue silk pants suit with a matching blue streak in her hair. Sure. Why not.
12. Director Steve McQueen leaps into the air after 12 Years a Slave wins best picture.
This is how people should celebrate! Way more fun than being demure.
